A note from Congregational Council:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”- Jeremiah 29:11
It is our hope to continue to provide updates for our All Saints ministry.
We are continuing to explore the possibility of a shared ministry. A team from council, (Bonnie Strittmater, K.D. Kalber, and Julie Schoville) have had two meetings with Pastor Paul Ostrem with the S.E. Iowa Synod and St. James and St. Matthew. There continues to be an interest from all three congregations to explore shared ministry of a full-time pastor and a full-time intern.
Council met on May 3rd to discuss language for a potential draft of a shared agreement between the three congregations to arrive at a common language. If we enter into this agreement, it would require congregational approval. A shared agreement does not imply a commitment. Please keep All Saints, St. James, and St. Matthew in your prayers as we move forward with this exciting new opportunity.
Council also met last week to review expectations of an Interim Pastor.
If you have further questions, please feel free to ask any member of council.
