Thrivent “Drive Through Shred Event”
Thrivent will host a “Drive Through Shred Event” at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 19th from 8 am – 12 pm. They invite community members to participate in this community event. This shred event will benefit Habitat for Humanity, a local non-profit organization. Free will offerings will be accepted, and all donations will be directed to Habitat for Humanity. See the flyer located on the kiosk for more information.
Food Pantry & Clothing Closet
Food Pantry & Clothing Closet Weekly Food Load
Every Friday volunteers are needed to help pick up the food order from River Bend Food Bank at 8:30 am (contact Anne). Volunteers are needed at church to help unload the vehicles that were loaded at RiverBend Food Bank and to stock the shelves and other areas at 9:00 am at All Saints.
Note: The second Friday of the month is usually the delivery by River Bend Food Bank to the church, and it is a large order (10,000+ pounds)!
Food Pantry & Clothing Closet Donations
Donations are accepted on Fridays 9 – 11 am and Saturdays 9 – 10 am. Monetary donations may be mailed to the church office.
Saturdays
They are open to the public from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturdays. Several volunteers are needed during this time to operate smoothly.
Help Needed
The council would like help getting the lower-level ready for the flooring work on Saturday, September 19th, after the food pantry & clothing closet close at 12 pm. Some items still needing to be completed: pulling the toilets in the lower-level restrooms, hanging plastic at the sanctuary stairwell that lead to the sacristy (behind the altar area), moving all shelving and carts to carpeted rooms and/or the storage POD, and emptying the double door storage closet. The council has rented a storage POD that is in the lower parking lot for items.
Worship
The Sunday worship service is at 10 am on Sunday mornings. See the article titled “Worship Information & Opportunities” for more specific information about worship.
“Wish List” – Lower-Level Update
The council has been working on a wish list of items to enhance the church property. Some of these items include updating lower-level flooring, painting the interior of the building, replacing the steel door in the office hallway and the clothing closet, landscaping, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), etc.
The first of many items to be completed is the flooring in the lower level (non-carpeted areas and excluding the clothing closet hallway) will be updated the week of September 20th.
The second of many items to be completed is painting the lower-level interior walls (where the flooring is being updated). Both upgrades will enhance our church building!
Fit4Mom – Stroller Strides Class
Fit4Mom – Stroller Strides Class will meet occasionally on Tuesdays in the fellowship hall from 5:30 – 6:30 pm between May and October. For more information about this group, visit their website: www.quadcities.fit4mom.com
Three23co
Three23co, homeschool group, will meet once a week in the gathering space of the church. They will use the space from 8 am to 12 pm every Tuesday for the 2026-2027 school year (09.15.2026 – 03.30.2027). Please be aware of their class time (8:30 – 11:30 am) and do not disturb them. They will be utilizing the gathering space, the library, and the outside church lawn/lower parking lot for recess time when the weather permits.
West Music Company, Music Therapy – SoundReach Choir
Sound Reach is a vocal music-making opportunity for groups or individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. The group will rehearse on Tuesdays from 5:45 – 6:30 pm in the sanctuary at church for their fall session (08.18.2026 – 10.27.2026). Sloppy Joe Lunch
The Proclamation Team will host a Sloppy Joe lunch after worship on Sunday, September 27th. Please plan on staying for lunch.
Stewardship Month – October
October will be the annual stewardship drive at All Saints Lutheran Church. The team will use the materials from the ELCA Churchwide Synod titled, “The Joy of Generosity: Generous lives. Joyful community. God’s work together.” There will be more information to come.

QC CROP Hunger Walk
The 55th Annual QC CROP Hunger Walk will be on Sunday, October 4th at 2:15 pm with check-in from 1 – 2 pm. The walk will begin at the Caxton Building/Bethany for Children & Families (1701 River Drive, Moline, IL). For more information see the flyer on the kiosk in the gathering space.

Rhythm City Casino Event
