From the Council President

It has come to our attention that, on several occasions, doors have been left unlocked or opened after use. We want to gently remind everyone of the importance of ensuring the building is fully secured before leaving. Please take a minute to check that ALL doors are properly closed and locked each time you exit. This will help ensure the safety of our staff, members, and the church property.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff and volunteers whose hard work, hospitality, and dedication made the 2026 Synod Assembly such a successful and spirit‑filled weekend. We are also deeply grateful for our voting members, whose presence, engagement, and faithful participation helped shape the important work we accomplished together. Your commitment made this assembly truly exceptional.   We would also like to announce that Bishop Amy Current has been re-elected for a second six-year term as Bishop of the Southeastern Iowa Synod. Congratulations, Bishop Current. We give thanks for all those who were willing to discern a call to be bishop.
