Autism Awareness and Royal Ball Activities

Autism Awareness

The Royal Ball Run for Autism raises funds, awareness, and greater acceptance for royally remarkable children and young adults on the Autism spectrum. To date, our signature events, the Royal Ball Run for Autism Race and Royal Ball for All Carnival has provided more than $150,000 in financial assistance for autism programs and services in the Quad City Area, which includes, the Quad Cities Autism Center, scholarships for speech and language therapy, peers program, Blackhawk Area special education and others.

We also provide a community of support for families of autism through parental networking, social skills development, and celebration/awareness events for families and their extended family and friends to come together. The fact that 1 in 68 children are now diagnosed on the spectrum means there are approximately 5,600 individuals in the immediate QCA (Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Davenport, and Bettendorf) who are on the spectrum.

Donation

All Saints will once again collect money to donate to the Royal Ball Run. Our goal is to collect at least $500.00 by May 20th so that our church name will be listed on the back of the shirts that are handed out to all who participate in the Royal Ball Run in June. In 2016 we donated over $700 and in 2017 we donated almost $900! Thank you! Please make checks payable to All Saints Lutheran Church, but make sure you mark your donation clearly on the memo line (Royal Ball Run). You may place your donation in the offering plate on Sunday morning or mail your donation directory to the church (5002 Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, IA 52807). All Saints will write one check to the Royal Ball Run at the end of May. To find out more about the Royal Ball Run contact Scott and/or Anne Holtan or www.royalballrun.com.
