All Saints council appointed Roger Oliver to the position of Financial Officer at its meeting on January 13, after Tim Sampiller stepped down.

Tim took up the position after Nate Kooi moved, doing thoroughly and ably what previously was a two-person job—Financial Officer (executive leadership and financial reporting) and Treasurer (bookkeeping and bill-paying).

As a testament to Tim’s hard work, Council divided these roles again, appointing Dru Novak as Treasurer.

Now All Saints has a three-person finance team—Roger and Dru, with Julie Schoville as Financial Secretary (tracking and reporting giving).

Add to this, a very successful first stage to the Happy hearts, Hopeful future! campaign, a complete and clean 2013 audit, and finishing 2014 in a much stronger position than originally projected.

Not that the work of stewarding trust and becoming self-sustaining is done, but that there is much progress to celebrate! Including four financial leaders of faith and integrity.
