Susannah Jane Olson-Smith was born May 10. Susannah and the proud parents, Pastors Clark and Sara, are all doing great.  Pastors Clark and Sara would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers at this most blessed time.  Pastor Clark will return to worship on June 3rd.

William Steven Brewer was born to proud parents Scott and Amanda on  May 14. Even though he decided to arrive five weeks early, gram Bonnie Strittmater reports, “He is perfect!!! Praise God!!! 

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Collier was born to Mark & Brie Collier on May 15. Everyone is doing well.  Praise God for His many blessings and for this precious new life!

Blood Drive:  A heartfelt thank you from the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center to all those who gave blood from All Saints on May 9:  Craig Drake, Anne Holtan, Joe Kearn, Lori Moreland, Mark Plumadore, Barb Stadie, Bonnie Strittmater, Jeff Williams and Kayla Worrell.  Volunteer blood donors provide a critical resource for patients at local hospitals. All Saints continues to have many people giving blood on a regular basis at our facility and we wish to also thank them. Thank you to those who donated treats and juice and to Shirley Doerscher and Bonnie Strittmater for hosting.

All Saints will no longer be a Voting Facility for elections.

John Deere Classic – July 9-15, 2012. Birdies for Charity is a fundraising event that encourages the community to support non-profit agencies; every pledged $ goes directly to the charity.  The John Deere Classic contributes 5% bonus to participating charities  based on the proportion of the pledges collected.    Chip in for your charity 2012.   Pledge forms & the charities listing is in the Gathering Space.

All Saints will be doing a pictorial directory July 17-18 from 2:30– 9:00 pm

Bible Study at the Ball Park!  Friday, June 1, is Davenport Lutheran Home “Night at Modern Woodmen Park”. Pastor Lockie will hold Bible Study at 6:00 pm before the game and then he will throw out the first ball at 7 p.m. (Gates open at 5:30).  Tickets on sale now at a special rate of $7. ea. Friday, June 1, Support Churches United’s Emergency Fund – St. John Vianney Church: 4907 18th Street, Bettendorf – Doors open 6 pm Trivia begins at 7 pm — Baby Boomers!  Wear your best 60’s & 70’s clothes, but there will be questions for all generations!  Food available to purchase thanks to the generous support of “The Blue Iguana” (Tacos, Salsa & Chips, beverages etc.)     NO Alcoholic Beverages!  $10/person    $80/table   “Limited” SILENT AUCTION!    COME and support those less fortunate!

Davenport Optimists Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction at All Saints, June 6, 4:30-7 p.m.  Proceeds to Fight Childhood Cancer. Flyer & more information in Gathering Space.

American Scandinavian Association at Augustana & 1st Lutheran Church, Rock Island, invite you to a “Free Gala Father’s Day Evening”  Sunday, June 17 Come join us!!!  Midsummer Celebration, Augustana Alumni Association/Whitey’s Ice Cream Social and Jenny Lind Concert all in one – 1st Lutheran Church 1600 – 20th St., Rock Island, IL. Mezzo-soprano Josefine Andersson; Accompanist, Nigar Dadascheva, Piano scholar; A Scandinavian Social with cookies & beverages, reception will follow the performance. Meet the performers! Ms. Anderson is in her last year of studies at the Copenhagen Opera Academy. She and her accompanist will perform Scandinavian romantic songs & International Classics.
