Reading Luke – April 1st

Have you ever heard a gospel read all in one sitting? This is your chance! Following worship on Sunday, April 1, we’ll have a community potluck.

At 12:30 p.m., we will start reading, chapter 1, verse 1 of the Gospel of Luke. With a brief intermission, we expect the whole reading to last maybe three hours—about the length of one of the Lord of the Rings movies. We are looking for volunteers to take turns reading. If you’re willing to read a portion of Luke, please find the sign-up sheet in the gathering space. Contact Scott Holtan with questions or for more information.

For more information/questions, please see Mandi Linville, Riley Jones, Elli or Mati Robischon, Spencer Jones, or Aleck Reece. Cash donations are also gratefully accepted, and suitable clothing will be purchased by the confirmation class.

Connector Cards:  How can we help you be more connected? To God—in worship and through God’s ministries here? To other people of this congregation? That’s what the white cards in each pew are for—you sharing how we can help you be more connected. Feel free to complete a card and either drop it in the offering plate or hand it to Pastor Clark after worship. Peace & God’s blessings.

“Buck-a-Chick”:  This spring join congregations across the nation by hosting a “Buck-a-Chick” sale. For $1, members can purchase and decorate a paper chick for themselves or in honor of a friend or family member. We will hang the colorful chicks in a prominent place, the glass windows that separate the gathering place and sanctuary.  There will be another picture available if you want the money to stay here locally. It is called “Buck-a-Bag”.

“Buck-a-Bag” will buy additional food for our food pantry. A dollar is all it takes to provide a family living in poverty with a little chick. Soon enough, the chick begins producing eggs. Its eggs make nutritious, protein-rich meals, and can be sold at the marketplace for income — helping a family escape hunger for good. The fun is not just for our kids.  Parents, see if you can relax and color with your kids.

Zumba Classes:  Thandra Ritchie, a local resident, is now holding Zumba Classes in All Saints’ fellowship hall Mondays & Fridays from 5:45-6:45 p.m.  Cost of each class is $5; there are no reservations necessary.  For Questions:  Contact Thandra at 563.449.2804
