Worship
The worship planning team carefully and prayerfully select a worship theme for each season. They choose songs and liturgical elements that help communicate that theme and bring us closer to God and to one another.
All Saints participates in the Synod Authorized Ministry (SAM) program offered by the Southeastern Iowa Synod. Bishop Amy Current has authorized Wanda Barber, Matthew Reece, and Julie Schoville to be Synod Authorized Ministers able to preside over worship services and offer pastoral care. The Synod provides training and instruction throughout the year and fully supports this program.
About Sharing of God’s Peace
Here at All Saints, we love to share God’s peace with one another. During our worship services, you are welcome to shake a hand, give a hug, or go up for a high five with your neighbors. If you prefer a contact-free greeting, you are welcome to flash a peace sign as we share God’s peace with each other.
About Holy Communion
This meal is God’s love for you. We believe in a wide open table. All are welcome. So, come forward with your hands out to receive this meal of grace.
Holy Communion is continuous, which means you receive the bread (gluten free option is available upon request) and eat then receive the cup and drink the wine or grape juice. Please come up the center aisle to receive communion and return to your seat using the side aisle. All are welcome to kneel at the railing for additional prayer.
Activity Bags
There are activity bags specific to the day of the church year available for anyone. Our hope is that these items will enhance worship and teach you about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ throughout the church year.
Music
The worship service incorporates guitars, pianos, drums, singers, and other instruments to help lead and enhance each worship service.
All kinds of saints
All Saints is a congregation of all kinds of people, including people who are young and old and people with special needs and autism. Quiet times can be noisy. Still times can be busy. At all times, God in Christ Jesus is with us. “Us” means everyone, no exceptions.
Participation, not perfection
All Saints’ people believe worship–like the life of faith–is about participation, not perfection. God gathers us in love, to participate in love in worship. And God sends us in love, to participate in love in daily life.
Come and see
