Theme for the season of Epiphany

Revealing Jesus
Promises of God Fulfilled

Arise, shine, your light has come.

Throughout the Advent and Christmas seasons, we were reminded to Ponder, Prepare, and Proclaim. Now, in the season of Epiphany, we rejoice in the light of God, shown to us in the long-awaited Jesus. The promises of God are revealed and fulfilled, all through the light of our savior, Jesus Christ.

God promises rest for the weary: Jesus is named the Good Shepherd.

God promises to be with us always, never to forsake us: Jesus is named Emmanuel.

God promises peace that passes all understanding: Jesus is named the Prince of Peace.

God promises to speak to us: Jesus is named the Word.

God promises to take away our sin: Jesus is named the Lamb of God.

God promises a way out of darkness: Jesus is named the Light of the World.

God promises to conquer death: Jesus is named the Resurrection and the Life.

God promises a foundation of faith: Jesus is named the Rock.

God promises salvation: Jesus is named the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Rise, shine, you people. Christ the Lord has entered our human story. May this season of light bring us closer to Jesus, the one who reveals and fulfills the promises of God.
