Food Pantry & Clothing Closet
Weekly Food Load
Volunteers are needed on Fridays to help pick up the food order from River Bend Food Bank at 8:30 am and to unload and put away the order at 9:00 am at All Saints.
Note: On the 2nd Friday of the month, River Bend Food Bank delivers the Iowa Commodities load as well as the load ordered for the week. This is typically a large load and many workers are needed to help at 9:00 am at the church.
Food Pantry & Clothing Closet Donations
Donations are accepted Fridays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Monetary donations can be mailed to the church office.
Saturdays
The food pantry & clothing closet serves 140+ families (average of 4 people per household) each and every week. They are open to the public from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturdays. Several volunteers are needed during this time to serve as well as throughout the week to prepare.
Worship
The worship service is at 10 am on Sunday mornings.
QC Studio-Z
QC Studio Z offers Zumba classes in the fellowship hall at church. They have classes on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:45 to 6:45 pm. For more information visit their website https://www.qcstudioz.com/
A bonus class will be offered this month on Sunday, March 23rd at 1 pm in the fellowship hall.
Fit4Mom – Stroller Strides Class

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday, March 5th, marks the beginning of the Lenten journey which begins our forty-day journey toward Easter with a day of fasting and repentance. Marking our foreheads with dust, we acknowledge that we die and return to the earth. At the same time, the dust traces the life-giving cross indelibly marked on our foreheads at baptism. While we journey through Lent to return to God, we have already been reconciled to God through Christ. We humbly pray for God to make our hearts clean while we rejoice that “now is the day of salvation.” Returning to our baptismal call, we more intentionally bear the fruits of mercy and justice in the world.
All Saints Lutheran Church we will gather for a meal at 5:30 pm in the gathering space. We will then move into the sanctuary for the Ash Wednesday Worship Service which will use the Holden Evening Prayer and incorporate the Distribution of Ashes as well as Holy Communion.
Daylight Savings Time Begins
At 2 am on Sunday, March 9th Daylight Savings Time begins. This is the time of year where our clocks “Spring Forward”. If your clocks do not automatically change, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday, March 8th.
Council
The council will meet Wednesday, March 19th at 6 pm in the church library for their monthly meeting.
