Food Pantry & Clothing Closet – Building Relationships

It takes a village and in the Quad Cities, we have a generous village. Community member, Sue Gadient saw Facebook posts about our busy food pantry and asked if we would like donations from their yearly MLK food drive this spring. The ARC received a MLK grant from the City of Davenport and The All Saints Lutheran Church Food Pantry received food donations in May from their MLK food drive from local HyVee stores.

Since donating food, she has reached out 3 times and donated personal hygiene items, sandwiches, and more food items for our pantry. These types of donations are always appreciated! We continue to build positive relationships in the community. This week I received an email about how they could volunteer! She asked if their volunteer group could meet at the church to help unload food and stock on Friday morning in August. She loves their group going to help at the sites.
