Together in Christ – Shared Ministry Update

The Together in Christ Call Committee interviewed a pastoral candidate during the month of May. The Together in Christ Call Committee has recommended this candidate to their respective councils (St. James and All Saints). At their respective council meetings, the councils voted to approve moving forward in the call process.

All are welcome to attend a meet and greet tomorrow, Thursday, June 8th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at St. James Lutheran Church (1705 Oak Street, Bettendorf). We will begin in the Sanctuary to meet the pastor. She will be giving a short presentation and answer any questions that you may have. Social time will follow in the fellowship hall.

There will be a special congregation meeting this Sunday, June 11th directly following the worship service to vote on the new candidate.

Below is a brief bio that Julie Schoville shared during worship 0n Sunday, May 28th.

Our candidate comes to us from the Quad City area. She has been serving as a pastor for a few years now, and loves being in a parish. She is energized by Christian community, I worship, and loving service to neighbor. She is passionate about learning how God is working in people’s lives and is excited by the possibility of serving at “Together in Christ”. She graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in May of 2015. Before that, she was in the hospitality industry for several years. She loves cooking and eating, reading and collecting books. Since she grew up in several different places in the American south, she likes to count packing and moving as one of her life skills.
