The Together in Christ Call Committee has interviewed a pastoral candidate during the month of May. The Together in Christ Call Committee has recommended this candidate to their respective councils (St. James and All Saints) this past week. At their respective council meetings, the councils voted to approve moving forward in the call process. With that there is a meet and greet scheduled for Thursday, June 8^th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the sanctuary at St. James Lutheran Church (1705 Oak Street, Bettendorf). There will be a special congregation meeting on Sunday, June 11^th directly following the worship service to vote on hiring the pastoral candidate. Below is a brief bio that Julie Schoville shared during worship this past Sunday (May 28^th).

Our candidate comes to us from the Quad City area. She has been serving as a pastor for a few years now, and loves being in a parish. She is energized by Christian community, I worship, and loving service to neighbor. She is passionate about learning how God is working in people’s lives and is excited by the possibility of serving at “Together in Christ”. She graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in May of 2015. Before that, she was in the hospitality industry for several years. She loves cooking and eating, reading and collecting books. Since she grew up in several different places in the American south, she likes to count packing and moving as one of her life skills.
